  1. Went thru that myself with blazer… about $1300 all told. Not pleasant at all. The tranny dropped while we were headed for vacation on the PA turnpike. Luckily my folks were only about 1.5 hours behind us. Loaded the Mrs and kids into their vehichle and I got a tow truck. Got the car home around four in the a.m…..

    Good luck hon.

  2. This reminds me of a great new Ford book – Ford and the American Dream by Clifton Lambreth. The story is about what went wrong with Ford and the American auto companies and what Henry Ford would do to fix them if he were alive today. The new book has a website http://www.thefordbook.com. The lessons learned and the solutions would work for all of corporate America today! Every auto enthusiast and business person should read this book.
